HOW DO YOU USE MY DATA?
When you purchase products from our website

When you purchase goods from our website, we will use your personal information to complete your purchase. The details we collect from you will include your name, address, email address, phone number and payment details. To complete your purchase, we share your personal information with our subcontractors who are involved in the purchase process, such as payment providers, as well as credit reference agencies who we use to assess fraud, credit and/or security risks. We need to process your personal information in this way to enter into and perform the contract for the item you have purchased from us. When you have provided a sample using one of our testing kits:

When you provide a sample using our testing kits we will handle that sample in order to provide the service to you. We do this so we can fulfil our contract to you. The results and analysis of this sample may well be anonymised by us so we can use that information, in an anonymised format for future use, both commercially and to improve our understanding. We may have to share some personal information about you to our carefully selected partners who undertake the testing and analysis on our behalf – if we do this, we will have in place contractual relationships to ensure the security of your personal data and also that both us and our partners comply with all applicable data protection legislation. The results, with no personal data attached to them, do not constitute personal data as without identifiers we cannot use the results to identify a single living person and therefore fall outside of the scope of this policy.

When you have expressed an interest in ScreenMe:

This section applies if you have opted in to receive marketing communications from us. We will handle your personal information (such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and sector preferences) to provide you with marketing communications in line with any preferences you have told us about. When we send you marketing emails because you have opted-in to receive them, we rely on your consent to contact you for marketing purposes. Every email we send to you for marketing purposes will also contain instructions on how to unsubscribe from receiving them. You are not under any obligation to provide us with your personal data for marketing purposes. You can tell us that you do not want your personal information to be processed in this way at any time by contacting us at support@screenme.co.uk or, where relevant, by following the unsubscribe link shown in every marketing communication you receive from us.

We process your personal information for this purpose because we have a legitimate interest to ensure our business can be continued by the buyer. If you object to our use of your personal information in this way, the buyer of our business may not be able to provide services to you. In some circumstances we may also need to share your personal information if we are under a duty to disclose or share it to comply with a legal obligation.

WHAT ABOUT TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND ANALYTICS?
Information we collect about you: When you visit our site we will automatically collect the following information:

• technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, screen resolution, operating system and platform; and • information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators, clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time), page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs) and methods used to browse away from the page.

HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR DATA FOR?

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or legal requirements To determine the appropriate retention period for the personal information we hold, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal information, the risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal information, the reasons why we handle your personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. In some circumstances, for example the generic, non-identifiable, results (such as vitamin levels) of any sample which is analysed we may anonymise your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA?

We only use your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If we share your personal data with any third party who we partner with or engage, that third party will only legally be able to use it for the purpose of providing services to us and feeding your results back to you. We always try to make sure that the third parties we partner with or engage with and where we share your personal data with follow equivalent privacy and security procedures to our own to protect your information, and comply with the relevant and applicable data protection legislation. There may be other times, where we may anonymise and aggregate your data, and results from the services, to create health reports and statistics. You also have the right to have incomplete personal information we hold about you completed, by providing a supplementary statement to us.
